History of Christianity in Africa, Last Day and Odds and Ends

a bird standing on a path

Hey, look—a bird the size of your grandmother!
We found this Marabou stork in a roadside rest area near Narusha.
A bit more about Marabous: Marabou Storks are one of the largest flying birds in the world. A large male Marabou Stork, standing up to 1.5 m (60 in) tall and weighing nearly 9 kg (20 lbs); their wingspan is nearly 2.9 m (10.5 ft). Females are generally smaller. As scavengers, they eat pretty much everything, whether alive or not.
This is the only animal we encountered that Stankovich did not want to take home with him.
