Our Wabash Global Health group with Kurt Pope '83 (standing at left in first row, black shirt). Kurt is the Regional Executive Officer at USAID in Lima. He not only arranged our visit to the US embassy to hear about USAID's work on health projects, but he and his wife invited our group to his home for a wonderful night of food, drink, and good conversation.

These women spoke forcefully about how our work there impacted the people in their towns. In what was an incredibly humbling  meeting, they thanked us for work that helped them understand the extent of anemia in their communities.

Our last night in Lima before departing for Tarapoto we visited the Parque de la Reserva, a very fun and amazing park with 13 different fountains. It might not sound all that exciting, but ask any of the student about this very cool place!
