Freshman Ronnie Posthauer finished 16th in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.82.
Posthauer came into the meet ranked 18th, improving his national ranking by two places in the prelims.
The freshman battled through a back injury throughout the season, but still managed to earn a place at the track and field championships.
