Community Service Day 8/23/2017, Album 2
Students in Professor Scott Himsel's World War II tutorial spent the morning giving the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church a deep cleaning. Church members appreciate having the students there each year to assist as they are not able to do much of the work the students help them accomplish in such a short amount of time.
David McLemore (right), who handles grounds and maintenance for the Home for Friendless Animals, uses a pipe cutter as Zubeck looks on. 'This is going to help out a lot,' McLemore said of the assistance of the Wabash students at the facility that houses more than 200 usually abandoned or abused dogs and cats. 'It's great. We've needed to get this stuff done for a long time and it's wonderful to have this opportunity to get the extra help.'
