Big Bash 2018 Saturday
'The biggest surprise to me was the kindness of strangers, or Trail Angels. They are volunteers who cook food and give it away, provide a ride into town, or give you a warm, dry place to stay for the night.' - Jim Dashiell '68. Dashiell hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2012 and published a book about his experiences in 2016.
Garrard McClendon ’88 began his presentation recalling days at Wabash and teachers like Horace Turner, Rob Johnson, and the men of the Malcolm X Institute who supported and befriended him. He also thanked Professor Emeritus Tobey Herzog, who was in the room for the presentation: 'You did so much for us.'
