WLAIP Immersive Experiences, 7/12/2019
The 22 newest members of the Wabash Liberal Arts Immersion Program (WLAIP) enjoyed a day of immersive experiences in Indianapolis. Half of the cohort visited the Indianapolis Rowing Center as part of the Athenian Citizen module, while the other half visited the Saraga International Market with the Food as a Liberal Art module. Warming up here on the ergometers at the Indianapolis Rowing Center are (from left) Allen Johnson Jr., peer mentor Trashan Clemons '21, Javier Que, Jeremy Soto, peer mentor Anthony Williams '20, Gabriel Sobrevilla, and Juan Montenegro.
As its name indicates, the Saraga International Market caters to a large international clientele. While there, the students took part in a scavenger hunt of sorts to locate items and familiarize themselves with the market. (from far to near) Shewa Gared, Eugene Bhattanai, and Jeremy Norvell Jr. identify selections at the halal meat counter.
