Angela Freeman Delivers MLK Day Keynote Address
Angela Freeman, partner and intellectual property (IP)/patent attorney in the Indianapolis office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP, delivered the Martin Luther King Jr. keynote address titled “Leveraging the Power of Being Only One or One of Few” January 20, 2025, in Salter Hall. The event was presented by the Malcolm X Institute of Black Studies.
In 2023, Freeman became the second Black female elected as an equity partner from associate, the first in the firm’s headquarters office, and in the firm’s IP department. She also hosts an award-winning podcast called The Freedom Forum with Angela B. Freeman, which explores the intersection of business, race, and gender in Indiana.
