Fellowships For International Students

With special thanks to Ngoc Dang (right) for his substantial contributions to the Fellowships Website

The following document - initially compiled by the National Association of Fellowship Advisors and updated for Wabash in July 2016 - contains information about a vast array of fellowships and scholarships which are open to non-U.S. students.  They range from the highly specific (in terms of student's home country or area of study) to much more wide open opportunities, such as the Gates-Cambridge, Oxford Clarendon, Schwarzman and Rhodes Scholarships, and the Carnegie Junior Fellows Program.

DAAD Study Scholarship (Graduate)

DAAD German Academic Exchange Service

Overview

Highly qualified final year undergraduate students or those who have received an undergraduate degree of all disciplines may apply for the DAAD Study Scholarship for a full Master's degree program at a German university or for study at a German university as part of a postgraduate or Master's degree program completed in the home country.

Open to students who will be starting a 1- or 2-year Master's program in Germany. Also open to those who are already in Germany in the first year of a Master's program at the time of their application and who wish to apply for a scholarship for the second year of study (so long as they have not been in Germany for over 15 consecutive months). Grants are also available for a study period in Germany as part of a postgraduate or Master's degree completed in a foreign country, typically for 1 year. Awards are available to those in arts fields, with additional stipulations.

A link is provided on the DAAD program description page to a searchable database of international Master's programs in Germany.
