The Wabash Annual Fund directly supports Wabash students and the College’s mission to educate men to think critically, act responsibly, lead effectively, and live humanely. Your annual gift sustains the traditional Wabash experience while also providing the most innovative opportunities for students.
When our founders knelt in the snow, they established a college for young men with $25,000. More than 190 years later, we continue to develop men who change the world with the support and investment from alumni, parents, and friends like you.
Give consideration today to supporting Wabash students by making a one-time or recurring gift to the Annual Fund.
Participation doesn’t mean making a BIG gift, it means making A gift.
At Wabash we don’t say our alumni are loyal, we say they are fanatical. In the 2022 U.S. News and World Report college rankings, Wabash ranked in the Top 5 for the highest graduate giving rate among National Liberal Arts Colleges. In order to achieve continued excellence, we want to increase this participation rate every year. Participating doesn’t require you to make a big gift, but it does require you to make a gift—not just for one year, but every year.
Here are some reasons why your participation is critical to expanding the culture of philanthropy at Wabash:
- Consistent participation is the foundation on which all philanthropy to Wabash is built.
- High alumni participation sends a clear message to our students that those who came before them place a high value on their education and are willing to invest in the institution.
- Prospective students rely on rankings such as those in U.S. News and World Report and other college guides to inform their college choice. The alumni giving percentage is published alongside and often included in those rankings.
- Foundations who provide generous private support look to our alumni giving percentage as a sign of a stable, well-supported institution—criteria essential to any successful proposal.

There are four areas of the Annual Fund for you to allocate your gift. In addition, when alumni make a gift in a reunion year, they support Wabash students and help their class achieve their reunion year giving goals.
Leadership giving to the College begins with those who give $1,000 or more from personal contributions or a combination of personal and corporate matching gifts as members of the 1832 Society.
Matching Gifts
Your gift to the Annual Fund might also be eligible for a matching gift from your employer. Matching gifts often allow you to double or triple the value of your gift to Wabash.
